In the process of making pipes, there are also 2 types of iron pipes, namely:
- Seamless Steel Pipe Or Pipe Making Without Welding, Namely A Pipe Formed By Piercing A Cylindrical Iron Rod To Produce A Hole In The Pipe’s Inner Diameter. Seamless Pipe In The Meaning Of Language Means Pipe Without Connection. In Practice, Seamless Pipe Is Indeed A Pipe That Is Formed Without Making Any Connections At All, So That No Part Of The Pipe Is Ever Disturbed Or Changed In Material Due To The Heat Of Welding. This Pipe Is Made Of Solid Cylindrical Steel, Which Is Perforated In A Near-Melt State, Commonly Called A Billet. An Example Of This Pipe Is ASME SA106 Grade B Or ASTM A 106 Grade B
- Welded Steel Pipe Or Pipe Making Through Steel Plates With Welded Joints, Namely The Steel Plate Is Formed Into A Pipe By Bending The Pipe Towards Its Short Axis With A Shaper Roll To Form A Pipe. The Gap Between The Two Sides Of The Strip Plate Is Then Welded Lengthwise To Form A Pipe Without Gaps.
Examples Of This Pipe Are API 5L Grade B Or A53 Grade B.
The function or use of the pipe is as a means to drain fluid materials such as gas, liquid, or steam from one place to a certain place by calculating the temperature, effects, location and environment around the pressure of the flowing fluid. In addition to these uses, certain types of pipes can also be used as building structures, warehouses and others.
